Mission Beach is a unique southern California beach community that is located on a stretch of sandbar along the Pacific Ocean to the west and Mission Bay to the east in San Diego. Mission Beach starts from One block south of Pacific Beach Dr to Ventura Place across from the world famous roller coaster. The beach spans out almost two miles of ocean with a boardwalk on the mission bay and ocean side. Any given day you will see scores of bicycles,skateboarders,roller bladders,runners and walkers walkers enjoying the views and outdoors. Their are coffee shops,surf shops,retail,bars and restaurants within walking distance in many parts of Mission Beach. The homescape is mixed with old beach cottages built in the early 1930s and ultra contemporary built masterpieces built since the early 2000s with lots of balconies and rooftop decks to take in the panoramic ocean views. This is great beach for swimming and surfing.
